Pietra had her start in the beauty industry as a model. You may recognize her from beauty segments on QVC, print commercial ads in several magazines including Essence, Ebony and Modern Salon or on the book covers of best-selling authors Zane, Gwynne Forster, and Kimberla Lawson Roby. As a freelance make-up artist and hairstylist, Pietra has worked behind the scenes in independent films, television, and theater. She believes everyone should feel like a star.
